Justin grew up in Churchville, a small town in Bucks County, PA. He was drawn to making music from childhood, starting with the piano when he could barely reach the keys. In concert, he has also been known to play trombone, pennywhistle, mallet percussion, guitar, melodica, and drums, though admittedly not all at once. He sings, too.
Justin taught middle school mathematics for many years, and he was briefly "internet famous" for this video. Now the Director of Choral Music at Abington Friends School, he lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife and daughter, lots of books, a few plants, and a collection of musical instruments from all over the world, some of which he can actually play.
